Established in April 2004 to serve as the base for the Com DEALL Trust and function as a central coordinating office for all of the DEALL units and the DEALL program, the head office of the Com DEALL Trust also houses a model unit of the Communication DEALL program and caters to two groups one in the forenoon and the other in the afternoon. The head office also functions as the primary resource center for the DEALL program and offers consultations, evaluations, counseling and individual therapy. In addition the activities related to the development of the Communication DEALL program as well as CommunicAids takes place here.

The Mumbai unit of DEALL was established in March 2003 in Colaba, in South Mumbai. Beginning with a single group it quickly expanded to two batches, catering to children not only from South Mumbai but also to those from suburbs as distant as Andheri, Thane and Ullhas Nagar, as well as to a few families that relocated to Mumbai from cities like Delhi, Chandigarh and Patna to be part of the programme.

The first Communication DEALL program was initiated by Dr Prathibha Karanth at SRCISH, on a trial basis in November 2000. Ever since, the institute has hosted a unit of the program.

In 2010, the SRCISH unit was certified as an independent unit and is an affiliate of the Com DEALL Trust.

This unit at Puducherry was originally set up in June 2009. The centre is situated within a Hospital. This unit was also certified as an affiliate in 2010 and now runs independently.

The unit at WISH, Calicut, is another of the newer units established in June 2009. This unit is situated in a speech and hearing clinic and is now undergoing training for affiliation.

This unit began functioning in September 2010. They are presently in the training period.

We have recently partnered with the Octave Hearing and Speech Centre to start a new Com DEALL Unit at Koramangala in Bangalore, Karnataka. The unit began in October 2011, and applications for admission are still welcome!

Staff of ROSHNI, Gwalior, were recently trained to begin their partner unit of Com DEALL. This institution extends the entire gamut of specialist services to persons with disabilities and their families. They also have an early intervention wing, which now houses the Com DEALL Program.
