It is our intention to establish the Communication DEALL program as a viable model that, with training, can be replicated elsewhere. We hope that the program can serve the requirements of an ever- increasing number of children diagnosed with communication disorders. We are therefore open to partnerships in setting up new units, producing additional material and training staff.
It is in keeping with this spirit that we rapidly expanded from 2001 to 2003. However, given the high professional input and lack of adequately trained manpower we found it difficult to meet the many requests for further expansion. Instead with the aid of a grant from the Sir Ratan Tata Trust and the Navajbai Ratan Tata Trust, we have embarked on documentation of our assessment and intervention procedures. Beginning June 2009 we are once again open to setting up more DEALL units on request, as a part of larger institutions, clinics, schools or preschools, anywhere in India or abroad.
It is envisaged that new units of Communication DEALL will be set up with our assistance and monitoring over a period of 3 years, after which subject to the unit complying with our requirements in terms of quality maintenance the units could function independent of us, but adhering to the standards set in an Agreement.
